3 hours in Dubovnik

If you've been reading my blog you'll know that my previous holiday had a bit of a hiccup in the middle where the airline I was travelling with went bankrupt leaving me delayed and having to book replacement flights at the last moment.
Because of this I missed out on a few days in Dubrovnik at the beginning of our Croatia sailing trip. Everybody else on the holiday got to chill in Dubrovnik and explore what is really quite a beautiful city over a couple of days.
On the Sunday morning before flying back to London I got 3 hours.

We'd anchored off Dubrovnik the previous night and the guys were nice enough to swing by the harbour and drop me off before going and returning the boats at the Marina. Sarah was nice enough to take all of my check-in luggage with her so all I had was my daypack, my camera, my passport and airline tickets to get back to London. Travelling pretty light indeed.
Dubrovnik is only waking up at 8 in the morning. I was dropped off at the harbour on the eastern side and walked through the Old Town to check out the bus station for later. Elapsed time:15 minutes
This is on the western side of the Old Town. Just near the bus station.
Ground level wandering around. Elapsed time: 45 minutes
Up on the city walls. The walls stretch right around the Old City and take about one and a half hours to walk around. Fantastic views both inside and outside the walls.

Looking down over the city from the highest point on the walls. Elapsed time: 1 1/2 hours

Looking west and north up the Adriatic. Elapsed time: 2 hours

And back down in the city wandering around the old streets.
Elapsed time: 3 hours
Off to the bus, the airport and then home.
